President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s Cabinet officials received the lowest satisfaction rating in a nationwide survey comparing the four top government institutions in 2022.

The Fourth Quarter 2022 Social Weather Survey conducted last December 10 to 14, 2022 showed the government's cabinet officials getting the lowest satisfaction score among the top four government institutions in the country.

While all four institutions – the Senate, House of Representatives, the Supreme Court and the Cabinet share a "very good" net satisfaction rating, the latter received the lowest score in the group.

The Senate got a rating of 75%, the House of Representatives, 63% and the Supreme Court, 62%. Meanwhile, the Cabinet's satisfaction rating lagged at 59%.

The survey also showed that 6% were dissatisfied with the Senate and 7% were dissatisfied with the lower chamber. Both the Supreme Court and the Cabinet garnered a 9% dissatisfaction rating.

"The resulting net satisfaction ratings were "very good" for all four top government institutions: +68 for the Senate (correctly rounded), +56 for the House of Representatives, +53 for the Supreme Court, and +50 for the Cabinet as a whole," Social Weather Station said on Thursday.

The Fourth Quarter 2022 survey was done through face-to-face interviews with 300 adult survey respondents (18 years old and above) each in Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao – with a nationwide total of 1,200 respondents.

President Marcos' Cabinet received "very good" scores in all areas except in the Visayas. In Mindanao, the satisfaction rating was at +53 and in Metro Manila and Luzon, the Cabinet received a rating of +52 each. In Visayas, the Cabinet scored "good" with a +43 satisfaction rating.

Going a bit more specific, the survey revealed that the Cabinet's net satisfaction rating was "very good" among female respondents at +52.

For female respondents 55 years old and above, the Cabinet satisfaction rating was at +50. Among non-elementary graduates, it was high at +57, for elementary graduates, +51 and for senior high school/vocational graduates, +54.

The satisfaction rating was "good" among men in general which stood at +48. For male respondents aged 25 to 54-year-olds, the rating was at +49. It was higher among junior high school graduates at +47 and slightly lower among college graduates at +42.

"The survey items reported here were non-commissioned. They were done on SWS's own initiative and released as a public service," the survey firm pointed out.
